Edgewood has changed a lot in recent years, thanks to the Edgewood Retail District, a walkable, open-air mall featuring 50 big-box retailers and boutiques, ranging from Target and Lowe’s to local indies like The Beehive gift shop.

Gentrified yet diverse, Edgewood Residents can kick soccer balls at Walker Park, visit the chickens at the Edgewood Community Learning Garden or see a play at the Pinch ‘N’ Ouch Theatre. For a true taste of the neighborhood, order up a pint at Ration & Dram, a tamale at El Tesoro, or house-made sausages at the Spotted Trotter. One more reason to get Edgy? The neighborhood is known for its annual Mac & Cheese Festival.
