Shaped by the banks of the Chattahoochee River, Vinings is a charming, walkable village full of families and professionals. Once known as Crossroads and then Paces, in the 1840s Vinings took on the name of William H. Vining, who was constructing Vinings Bridge at the time. General Sherman later occupied Vinings, a railroad town, during his famous March to the Sea. Today, it’s home to the Home Depot HQ and a stone’s throw from Cumberland Mall and the Chattahoochee National Recreation Area.

In downtown, you’ll find boutiques and restaurants at Vinings Jubilee, live music at Old Vinings Inn and hibachi shows at Orient Express (yes, it’s an actual train car).
