West End

Located off of I-20, West End is fast becoming one of the best-kept secrets in Atlanta. What began as White Hall in 1835 was renamed for London’s trendy theater district in 1868. Today, you’ll find art galleries and tree-shaded streets lined with turn-of-the-century Craftsman bungalows, Queen Annes and Folk Victorians.

With strong Black roots, West End is home to institutions like the Hammonds House art museum and eateries like Soul Vegetarian South, as well as children’s book author Joel Chandler Harris’ home-turned-cultural-center, The Wren’s Nest

In 2017, the neighborhood connected with the Westside BeltLine Trail. This paved the way for warehouse transformations like Lee & White, now home to beer gardens from Wild Heaven and Monday Night Brewing’s Garage, as well as Honeysuckle Gelato. Diverse, accepting and artistic, West End has folks flocking to developments like Sky Lofts, which converted a vacant Sears parking lot into a walkable, multi-use complex.
