Why Katie? Katie is a devoted middle school math teacher at St. Thomas More Catholic School in Decatur, where she inspires and motivates her students every day. Despite navigating deep personal loss—including the passing of her mother and a divorce—Katie has remained incredibly resilient, focusing on creating the best possible life for her daughter, a preschooler at STM.

As a single mom, Katie juggles the demands of teaching with raising her daughter, all while shouldering the emotional and mental strain of the past few years. With so much on her plate, maintaining organization at home has been a challenge, yet she recognizes how important structure and simplicity could be, not only for her peace of mind, but for Heidi’s well-being and development.

Katie dreams of a more organized, clutter-free home that provides calm and consistency—a space where both she and her daughter can thrive. Her strength, perseverance, and deep love for her family make her a beautiful example of grace in the face of adversity.
